Pallet Refurbishment

Pallet Repair

The Pallet Repair program is a recovery and refurbishment service for used pallets, offered to our customers who manage new pallet lines.

Pallet Remanufacturing: This process is carried out on used pallets that will be repaired and includes the following steps:

  • Classification of pallets by the customer at their facility.
  • Inspection and separation of pallets to be repaired at Madepal.
  • Replacement of damaged top and/or bottom deck boards.
  • Replacement of damaged blocks or stringers.
  • Removal of markings (stamps and logos).
  • Washing and sanitization of the pallet.
  • Application of heat treatment according to ISPM 15 standards. This ensures the repaired pallet meets international trade requirements.
Wood Treatment

Drying and Heat Treatment

  • We have three wood drying chambers with a capacity of 300 cubic meters per month.
  • We offer Heat Treatment for cargo packaging (Pallets, Crates, Reels, Coils, etc.) intended for international trade, in compliance with FAO requirements under ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures).
  • Our process control eliminates waste caused by drying defects and includes heat treatment (HT), which enhances the physical and mechanical properties of the fiber while increasing wood resistance against insect infestations.
  • Drying and Heat Treatment serve as a preservation and immunization method for wood, free from harmful contaminants.
  • We are Certified and Authorized by the ICA to perform heat treatment on our products in accordance with ISPM 15 standards.
CCB Salts Treatment

Wood Immunization: Pallets and Reels

Although we promote and support drying and heat treatment as a method of wood immunization for protection and preservation against threats such as fungi, insects, and bacteria—due to its effectiveness, non-toxicity, and eco-friendliness—we perform wood immunization by immersion with salts only upon specific customer request. This is because our Madepal Verde program restricts the use of contaminating agents.

CCB Salts

CCB Salts: Copper (fungicide), Chromium (fixative), Boron (insecticide)

  • Low-toxicity inorganic wood preservative that is arsenic-free.
  • Highly effective in controlling insects, fungi, and bacteria.
  • Suitable for indoor, outdoor, and ground-contact use, effectively replacing CCA salts.
