We have been certified and recognized by the CVC for our responsible management of legal wood under the program “Legal Origin and Promotion of Sustainable Forest Management”, and we have held Green Business recognition since 2020.

At Madepal SAS, we consider environmental management a fundamental part of our industrial operations and our responsibility toward the environment. Our commitment is based on protecting natural resources, optimizing production processes, and implementing sustainable practices that ensure responsible and efficient development.
We recognize the importance of conserving ecosystems and operating under sustainability principles. For this reason, the protection of forests, natural environments, and the responsible use of resources are fundamental pillars of our organization.
To fulfill this commitment, we implement the following actions:
- Use of plantation-grown wood: We choose wood sourced from sustainable forest plantations.
- Responsible sourcing: We purchase only legal wood with the corresponding permits and transport authorizations, ensuring that its origin does not contribute to the deforestation of native forests.
- Material optimization: We work with dimensioned-wood suppliers to ensure that raw materials arrive in precise sizes, reducing waste.
- Efficiency in standards: We have contributed to modifications of NTC standards, reducing board thicknesses and widths by approximately 10% to 14% to improve the use of forest resources.
- Pallet reuse: We repair pallets for our customers, promoting reuse and recycling and helping reduce waste.
- Efficient processes: We optimize our pallet and reel manufacturing processes to improve performance and minimize environmental impact.
- Waste utilization: We sell and reuse sawdust and wood shavings as by-products.
- Natural drying: We implement natural drying and pre-drying in storage sheds, allowing us to reduce the use of drying kilns by approximately 90%.
- 100% sustainable solar energy: Currently, 100% of our production processes operate with solar energy generated by our own solar plant, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.
- Waste reduction and circular economy: We implement strategies to minimize waste generation in our production, promote reuse, and redirect surplus materials into new production processes.
- Sustainable packaging and plastic reduction: We continuously seek environmentally responsible alternatives for our processes, reducing the use of plastics in our packaging and choosing recyclable and biodegradable materials that reduce environmental impact.
