Our Commitment to Legal Wood

At Madepal, we are firmly committed to sustainability and the protection of the environment. For this reason, we work exclusively with wood obtained from legal sources, ensuring that every process complies with the required permits and transport authorizations. We also ensure that our suppliers comply with all environmental regulations through ongoing monitoring and verification.

Our raw material comes primarily from forest plantations, which are sustainably managed crops, similar to sugarcane or palm plantations, where harvesting and replanting ensure a continuous cycle without affecting natural forests.

Since 2017, we have been recognized by the Corporación Autónoma Regional del Valle del Cauca (CVC) for our commitment to “Legal Origin and Promotion of Sustainable Forest Management.” This recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to preserve forests and promote a circular economy that ensures their regeneration and conservation.

For us, sustainability is not merely an option, but a necessity. We understand that without forests there is no business, and that depleting natural resources puts the future of our industry and the planet at risk. For this reason, we operate under the principle that what is harvested is replanted, allowing the cycle to continue so that future generations can responsibly benefit from these resources.

It is important to dispel the misconception that cutting down a tree means destroying the planet. Wood is one of the few 100% renewable resources when managed sustainably. Unlike other materials whose extraction causes irreversible damage, wood can regenerate through proper forest management. This approach not only ensures the continuity of the resource, but also promotes ecosystem conservation and a sustainable economy.

At Madepal, we reaffirm our commitment to nature and society, ensuring that every step we take is in harmony with the environment.
