This achievement is the result of a long-term vision and an ambitious energy self-sufficiency project launched in 2019, when the company made the strategic decision to invest in a solar power generation plant.
Project Progress
- 2020: Completed the first phase of the project, covering 60% of its energy needs with solar power.
- 2022: Installed capacity was increased to cover 80% of total consumption.
- 2024: Achieved its goal of operating with 100% solar energy, consolidating its position as a sustainability leader within its sector.
- 2025: A 25% increase in installed capacity was approved to expand solar power generation.
- 2026: The expansion initiated in 2025 was completed, adding an additional 20 kW to the company’s solar plant.
Surplus Capacity and Energy Contribution
With this expansion, Madepal SAS reached a total installed solar generation capacity of 100 kW, exceeding its energy needs. This growth strengthened its energy self-sufficiency and enabled the generation of surplus energy that is now sold, actively contributing to the production and distribution of clean energy within the community and the national market.
